Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center has just announced its sixth straight year without a single case of Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP).  This hospital-acquired infection causes death and raises the  cost of care.  Additionally, three other Sentara hospitals have eliminated common hospital infections in their Intensive Care Units for one year or more.
